Relaxed beach club with fun vibes, great food, awesome music and lots of cool locals: That's Amare!
Amare opened back in 2021 and ever since it has become a firm favourite with Cartagena's most fun locals- us included! It's where we go when we want an unpretentious beach party, but also when we want somewhere chill to pass a hangover.
The Amare team, led by everyone's favourite Spanish import, Pablo Planelles, is always warm and welcoming and attentive. The food is some of our favourite of anywhere in Cartagena (by Chef Pedro Mosqueda who also passionately leads a number of agricultural projects on the island). Think nourishing bowls with thoughtful proteins (vegetarians, vegans and gluten free is also ok), platters loaded with shareable goodies, flatbreads, skewers, sustainable seafood. Amare is on track for B Corp Certification so you can be reassured they are making efforts to be a sustainable and regenerative presence in the tourism and hospitality sectors.
Things are kept interesting with a rotating list of guest chefs and the best DJs from here and abroad to have you dancing barefoot in the sand. But if you want to find a shady corner for a restorative nap, that is also more than ok.
