ISLA MATAMBA
Hire your own private island home for stay as relaxing or active as you want it to be. Isla Matamba is located on Isla Grande in the Rosario Islands about 50 minutes by boat from Cartagena.
The house and rooms are tropical and fresh, with palm thatched roofs and sea-views every which way you look.
You can opt to visit just for the day, or to hire the house for the night. Pricing varies depending upon the time of year and quantity of people.
DAY PASS
3,000,000 Colombian Pesos (up to 20 people)
5,000,000 Colombian Pesos (20-40 people)
More than 40 people counts as an event and the fee is 10,000,000 pesos (maximum 60 people)
If arriving for day pass there is a compulsory charge for food of 80,000 pesos pp which includes starter, lunch, desert and non-alcoholic drinks.
Alcoholic drinks can be purchased from Isla Matamba (you can choose which you would want to be available in advance) or you can bring your own and pay corkage.
STAYING THE NIGHT
(Low season)
4,000,000 Colombian Pesos per night
(High season)
6,000,000 Colombian pesos per night
(high season dates are December 15- January 15, Public Holiday Long Weekends, Easter)
If you are staying the night, Isla Matamba can sleep up to 16 people. There are 4 bedrooms in the main house, plus 2 additional cabañas.
Once again you will need to buy your meals from Isla Matamba and can pre-select your meals from a menu at time of your booking. Same rules apply for alcoholic beverages. The meal costs if you stay over night are 200,000 pesos pp and include breakfast, snacks between meals, lunch, dinner and deserts)
EVENTS
Events such as weddings or corporate functions that take place on the island have a cost of 10,000,000 pesos. Full details can be discussed with us if you are interested in exploring this option.
ISLA MATAMBA PRIVATE BOAT
If you choose to arrive via the Isla Matamba boat, you can opt to get picked up from any dock in Cartagena.
The boat is a Donzi 35, with 2 Mercury Verado 250 hp motors, Sound system and a maximum capacity of 16 people.
The daily cost is 1,800,000 COP which includes captain and gas.
WHAT TO DO
Explore the Rosario Islands via paddle board, snorkel, or boat, take a tour of the Enchanted Lagoon with phosphorescent plankton best visible on moon-free nights, play mini golf, use pool or jacuzzi, hire jet skis, visit Playa Blanca, visit the aquarium etc etc
