HORSERIDING
Whether you are chasing that addictive, spirit-soaring feeling of galloping horseback, or you are content just to plod along and take in the scenery, the guided horse trek at Blue Apple is a thoroughly recommended experience.
You can book the trek as either part of your accommodation at Blue Apple or arrive specifically for the activity on Blue Apple transport - booking the specific day pass activity.
BLUE APPLE HORSE TREK 280,000 pesos, includes:
Transport via Blue Apple boat departing 10am and returning 5pm from Muelle de la Bodeguita (Note: does not include the 9,000 pesos marine tax collected by Cartagena goverment)
Lunch and refreshment
Use of sunlounger and towel post-ride
Donation to Green Apple foundation (to combat the environmental impact of tourism in Cartagena)
If taking the boat, you will arrive to Bocachica, Tierra Bomba about 10.40am. From here you will meet your guide and be matched with a horse to begin the trek.
As part of your trek, you will cross Tierra Bomba island, covering slopes and valleys, coast and beach all the while enjoying that unequaled connection with horse and nature.
This activity is suitable for beginners and experienced riders alike. Helmets and chaps provided. Optional one-day extreme sport insurance can be arranged on-site if required.
Note: this trail included in the day pass is the shortest, allowing you to enjoy a ride and still have a relaxing lunch and lounge at Blue Apple. Longer, more dramatic trails are available for riding aficionados (and are very much recommended!)
