Join a local shopaholic as you visit Cartagena’s top boutiques in search of Colombian designer clothing, swimwear, handbags, accessories and handcrafts. Colombian fashion and design continues to make an impact on the international stage. This tour will focus on the famous names together with the ones to watch so you will return from your vacations with plenty of eye-candy and head-turning statement pieces that will have everyone begging you 'where did you get it?!"
For those who love to pick up local crafts and homewares, your host will help you discover the huge range of Colombian artisan handicrafts, explaining different techniques and origins so your new bag or jewelry is revealed to be so much more than just an accessory, but in fact full of meaning and cultural and historical significance.
[For groups of 8 or more we can arrange a special presentation by artesanias in person and guests will have an opportunity to learn weaving techniques and even create their own accessory - by arrangement, additional cost may be involved]
If antique shops tickle your fancy we can include 1-2 antique stores allowing you to step back into Cartagena's past as you shop for unique pieces including doorknockers, armchairs, wardrobes, mirrors and libraries from different time periods. Other shopping stops (depending on interest) can include sampling Cartagena's world-recognized and rewarded Rum and cigars, both imported from Cuba and those that have been hand-rolled locally. Shopping itineraries can be further customized to suit areas of interest/budget/time restraints. And can also incorporate art galleries depending upon interest.
Privatization of the stores can be arranged with prior notice for a privatization fee if required.
